In the past, the bootcamp has always been four weeks long. This has worked well, and I am pleased with how the projects turn out. However, four weeks is not enough time to do any meaningful statistics. All the projects are data-only.
I am considering an experiment this time in which the course goes for 6 weeks, with the goal of including an actual statistical model in the final projects, more along the lines of what students in my semester-long college course accomplish. This would involve adding a mish-mash of the material from Chapters 4 through 6 of The Primer to the syllabus. Please answer this poll to help me decide.
Again, I don’t promise to be bound by the results, but I will take them very seriously.
