Registration continues

Updates:

1. Although we were ready to give registration preference to those who helped advertise the course, that has not proved necessary. Everyone who followed the instructions is now registered for the course. Welcome! Going forward, there are no preferences. First come, first served. Spots are limited!

2. If you are no longer interested in the course, you may want to (temporarily) unsubscribe from this Substack. There will be almost daily emails until the course starts in two weeks. After that, the discussion will move to Discord.

3. Several would-be-students have failed to follow the instructions. Here is a sample:

Only correctly named files are guaranteed to be processed. Recall the instructions from the tutorial:

Make sure to answer the question about how many **minutes** you spent on the tutorial and to click "Submit Answer."

After hitting the "Download" button, you will be prompted to save a file named `positron_answers.html`. This file should be saved in the default Downloads folder on your computer.

Unless told otherwise by your instructor, you should use the default file name, which will usually be of the form `short-name-of-tutorial` + `_answers` + `.html`.

If you made a mistake, no worries! Just submit again.

Another common mistake is to fail to include your name and email and the answer to the question about how many minutes the tutorial took. If you do this, your submission is rejected, as detailed below.

In the first comment to this post, I will include the report that my system is currently giving. If you see your email, then you are all set! If you don’t, then you are not registered.
