I am Teaching a Philosophy Course This Fall
Information session this Sunday August 18 at 4:00 PM EDT
I am toying with the idea of teaching two (free, as always) classes this fall. One course would be my usual intro data science course. More on that next week. The other course would be an intro philosophy (or Great Books) course, see the draft syllabus here. Notes:
I will have an informational Zoom meeting (link) about this course on Sunday August 18 at 4:00 PM EDT.
This is a serious course, requiring about 8 hours of work per week plus 2 hours of class meeting. Do not sign up unless you have time.
I do not expect this course to work out, sadly! My core audience is high school and college students, the vast majority of whom are too busy during the school year for such an intense class.
The most likely students are either high school seniors or home-schooled students of any age or (very precocious) 8th graders.
The ideal would be a group of students who know each other already and want to go on an adventure with me.
Feel free to ask questions below or come talk with me on Sunday.
